Somewhere in an old warehouse in downtown Hannibal, something terrible lurks in the shadows…
Following passersby with malevolent eyes from behind cobwebbed windows, and waiting… for blood.
Do YOU dare to enter the Hannibal Jaycees “Warehouse of Nightmares”?
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the Jaycees bring you the most sinister and frightening Haunted House yet. Your most gruesome fears will come (back) to life every Friday and Saturday in October inside the old Smith Central Plumbing building in downtown Hannibal. From evil clowns to flesh-eating zombies and a maze of terror, it’s over 7000 square feet of disorienting, horror-filled twists and turns. The Jaycees have an all-new layout prepared this year, so if you think you know what you’re getting into, think again: you’re in for the fright of your life!
The Haunted House will open to the public on Friday, October 6th at 320 South Third Street (next to the viaduct) and run through Saturday, October 28th. Enter into the mouth of madness from 7:30 to midnight each night. Admission to the house is only $10 per person. The queue line area for the Haunted House is even covered, so patrons won’t have to stand in the rain in the event of inclement weather. No children under the age of 5 can be admitted to the house, and all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Jaycees will be resurrecting a favorite attraction from last year: Zombie Paintball. Purchase a combo deal for $15 that gets you entry into the Haunted House, plus 50 paintballs for the outside shooting gallery. Try to send the undead back to their graves before they send you there first! Additional games of paintball may be purchased for $5 each.
Just can’t get enough of the Hannibal area’s premier haunt experience? Buy a season pass for $50 that gives you unlimited entry into the house all month long! Season pass unlimited entry does NOT include Zombie Paintball. A special multi-pass also will be available this year for adventurous individuals wanting to tour several haunted attractions around the area over the course of the evening on a haunted Van. A full list of participating attractions and the ticket price will be announced closer to opening night.
You can’t begin to imagine the horrors that await you inside the Haunted House; but, as if this weren’t enough, the Jaycees are bringing back by popular demand the Last Ride. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be buried alive? Climb into the wooden casket and experience an extreme simulation that will exploit your senses for maximum terror. You’ll hear the sounds, feel the movements and smell all the putrid scents of a journey from the funeral home to a hole 6 feet under while your friends watch your reactions on the “Casket Cam!” For more creepy details and to purchase advance tickets for all of the Jaycees’ haunted attractions online, send an email requesting information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Haunted House is an annual fundraiser coordinated by the not-for-profit Hannibal Jaycees to support their charitable activities around the area. A portion of the proceeds each year are donated to a local charity. Over the years, the Jaycees have been able to donate thousands of dollars back into the community that are raised just from this one event.
The Hannibal Jaycees look forward to seeing you downtown in October. Dreadful things are crouching in the darkness and lurking around every gore-spattered corner, waiting for you. The anguished screams you hear will soon be joined by your own! Are you brave enough to enter the Warehouse of Nightmares? If you aren’t scared of the dark now…
YOU WILL BE.
