TANYARD GARDENS - FOOD, DRINK AND ENTERTAINMENT  HEADQUARTERS

Tanyard Gardens was named for "tan yard," formerly located in the Mark Twain historical area, where Huck Finn’s dissolute father, Pap, slept.  It is a live music center, refreshment center and general headquarters for National Tom Sawyer Days.  The Garden was begun by the Hannibal Jaycees in 1975, as a central place for visitors to eat, drink, and keep up with the many activities.  The refreshment center features a wide variety of foods in a picnic atmosphere.  The booths will feature different types of food, snacks and soft drinks.  The Hannibal Jaycees offer beer on tap from Hannibal’s distributing companies, and a large dining area under canvas.  The big tents at Tanyard Gardens also provide a great place to enjoy live evening entertainment with your friends.  There is an admission charge to the beer garden after 8:00 PM with a portion of the proceeds donated to charity.  Information on all activities can be found here.
