The Hannibal Jaycees will be providing commercial fryers that will be made available to all teams that would like to use them. If you use the fryers we provide we will be in charge of the oil, fryers and disposal of oil. Each team must have at least 1 member to be on the cooking site to cook your team’s wings. We will have some staff on hand to help!  However, wings that are cooked in the commercial fryers provided by us will be for non battered wings we will have 2 fryers designated for battered wings so that we do not contaminate the oil for other teams. You can sauce them and season them anyway you like once the wings are cooked.  Our commercial fryers are much faster; a case of wings (about 20lbs) can be cooked in 20 minutes. If you plan to bring your own bbq grill, fryer or smoker, we must be notified in advance to provide you adequate space as all cooking must be done outside. We will set up as we did last year under, the overpass,as this provides shelter from rain!

1ST PLACE -$1000.00       2ND PLACE -$500.00        3RD PLACE-$250.00

Best Decorated Booth-$100.00

This year’s theme will be “FOOTBALL FEVER” We ask for your support in decorating your booth and dressing according to our theme.

Voting will be the same as last year a penny a vote! Each team will be provided with a sealed container to hold the votes. The public will cast their vote in such a manner. “A PENNY A VOTE” for example $1.00 will be equal to a 100 votes in your teams favor. Your sealed containers will be picked up at 4:30 p.m. and counted to determine the winner!

You may enter your booth in our “Best Decorated Contest” per our theme,
“FOOTBALL FEVER”, to win a $100.00 cash prize.

We feel that changing the voting and not using specific judges will make the Wing Ding truly a people’s choice event. We are trying to be fair to all teams by doing this. The more money you collect in votes the better your chances of winning.
SO WORK IT, WORK IT, WORK IT!!!!
We will be providing the oil, fryers, wings and will have some help on staff to help with cooking. However, you are required to have at least 1 to 2 people on hand for cooking. We feel that in doing this, each team can cook as many wings as they would like and keep the public happy by not running out of wings.
The winner of 2011’s Wing Ding will be invited back the following year with all entry fees paid!
